Anoplate Processes:_AnoBlack SS

Providing a black, matte finish on hard to blacken substrates

Product Description

AnoBlack SS is a blackening process for ductile & malleable iron, as well as difficult to blacken stainless steels.  It imparts moderate corrosion resistance, that can be further enhanced by way of sealants and preservatives.  AnoBlack SS is a non-reflective, matte black finish.  It penetrates the metal surface to provide durable, adherent coating (won't peel or separate like plating can).  The process has little or no dimensional change (typically well under 1/2 micron).

Recommended Usage
  • Industrial and commercial components
  • Hydraulic & pneumatic manifolds
  • Applications (including optical) where a matte black, non-reflective finish is required
  • Precision machined and ground components that can't withstand any plating or coating build-up or degradation of ground sealing surfaces and bores
Typical Physical Properties
