The latest edition to the long list of protective processes that Anoplate performs is an Electroless Nickel (EN) composite with Silicon Carbide (SiC). This deposit offers exceptional wear resistance for an eroding metal surface. It not only scored high in wear tests, it also showed itself to be superior to electroless nickel and hard chrome in Taber abrasion testing, a key component in tribology where rubbing surfaces, with varying degrees of friction and the presence of residue, combine to cause failure.
